IRC also known as Internet Relay Chat is one of the ways Scribus users, developers and other Community members can communicate with each other. A libera.chat channel #scribus is a vibrant community hall almost 24 hours a day though most of the activity usually happens in the evening hours of European time zones. To connect to #scribus you will need client software or perhaps use a Web IRC Interface. If you are looking for a suitable client you can check a comprehensive comparison or start with one of the most popular clients such as XChat or mIRC on windows or use your package manager to install XChat or Konversation or any other client on Linux.

Note, we no longer regularly use the freenode channel although it remains. We lost control of it with the upheaval that happened in 2022 and we moved to libera.chat like many groups did.
