@Penny: I wondered the same thing, until I went out to the Introduction page for this tutorial and found a link to a site where these files are located: http://linux.hanski.info/static/download/fyug_orig_files/FYugFnl.tar.gz - hope this helps, if you're still looking for these files!  [[User:Beerslayer|Beerslayer]] 00:04, 28 July 2011 (CEST)

Because of the margins(35,30,25,20), half of the page in this tutorial gets cut... Is that expected behavior? I mean, the tutorial make syou put the image outside the margins, doesn't it? Towsonu 23:01, 21 February 2007 (CET)

I wouldn't say half, but yes, it'll crop the image/page. Usually, you always leave some space reserved for bleeding (those which will be printed).

Fyug images?

I am brand new to Scribus & DTP and Wiki. I have successfully downloaded Scribus and am attempting to follow the "Get Started With Scribus" tutorial. Is this where I post questions?

I have two questions: 1. The tutorial has you work with images to create a Fyug project. However, I cannot find where I go to download the sample images. Can someone help me find them? 2. The tutorial has me set up the magazine in mm rather than inches. Is there a reason for this? Also, when I attempt to set an image box properties, I cannot set the width and height without the other changing. For example if I set the image properties to XPos and XPos of 0 then the width to 8.5 inches, the height becomes 12.0565 inches. If I change the height to 11 inches, the width changes to 7.7552 inches instead of the 8.5 that I had entered. Why is it not allowing me to set both the width and height to my chosing?

Now I just hope I can find my answer when I log on next.

Thanks.
