Talk:MacOSX version of Scribus
- Why isn't Ghostscript mentioned here? - If it can be mentioned, can we post or at least link to installation instructions?
My rationale for including it here: it was a pain to located a compiled ghostscript download, and then configuring scribus to find it took a few extra steps. If we want to make Scribus as accessible as possible, lets put this all here! I'll wait a week or so before just posting the info. Here's what I wanted to add:
- . Ghostscript is a required component for Scribus. If it comes up in an error message when the program starts, it should be mentioned ahead of time!
- . Link to here for .dmg installer of Ghostscript: http://www.linuxfoundation.org/en/OpenPrinting/MacOSX/foomatic
- . Instructions for setting preferences to find Ghostscript: Open scribus and go to menu Scribus->preferences. In prefs, scroll down to 'External Tools' and click it. In the box 'Postscript Interpreter', field 'Name of Executable', type /usr/local/bin/gs

Is there a way to compile from source (32but and 64bit options)?
Added Link to Full Installation Instructions
I've added a link to the full installation instructions (including GhostScript).
