There is a problem with Scribus and use of the scribus-icon.svg file.  It will show a radius bar in addition to the black outline.
The fix is to use Sodipodi or Inkscape to duplicate the background layer, then eliminate the outline, then shrink and position the circle between the original background and all the other layers.

Ideas for future promotion stuff

We really need more good looking and well designed promotion stuff to convince people that Scribus is a reliable tool. Changelogs and release notes are simply not good enough to convince broad target audience, we need some candies too:) These are only some random ideas, please feel free to add yours:

  • Quick Start Guide (one sheet, PDF made with Scribus). Examples:
  • A PDF presentation of new features, to be delivered along with release notes (before every major Scribus realease, it has to be a professional looking Scribus document)
