Comment from Marvin Dickens: "May I suggest the possibility of adding a reference to scripting due to the power that this feature adds to the application."
Fontconfig support in 1.2.x
Quoting:
/etc/fonts Fontconfig, the library used by Scribus to locate fonts,"
Scribus 1.2.x actually doesn't support fontconfig, according to this mail from Craig Ringer: http://irc.altmuehlnet.de/pipermail/scribus/2004-December/007623.html
Please someone clarify this issue and correct this man page draft.

100% Guaranteed, 1.2.x does not support fontconfig. Its supported in 1.3 when you have the F flag in Help About. --Cbradney 08:12, 3 May 2005 (UTC)
TODOs:
- add info about the Short Words config files (now a part of Scribus)
- remove notice about $HOME/.scribus/prefs.xml (only relevant for 1.3.x series)
This is not only relevant for 1.3.x series. Its used for storage of window locations, previous directories used etc. --Cbradney 08:12, 3 May 2005 (UTC)
- is the list of Scribus options up to date?
