I don't think the CD should be as small as possible -- quite the contrary. It would be useful to testers to evaluate all or at least most possibilities of open source DTP. And this means a lot of MBs (TeX, OOo, OpenClipArt, Fonts ...). A CD-ROM drive is available to almost all PCs nowadays, so there's no reason to be unnecessarily modest with respect to the opportunities of DTP under Linux.
