IntroductionScribus is an Open Source DTP (Desktop Publishing) application for Linux and other flavors of Unix and Unix-like systems, including Mac OS X , and Windows 2000 or later, as well as OS/2 / eComStation / ArcaOS. This Wiki has been created in order to give users a place to put HOWTOs, tips or ideas on using or enhancing Scribus. Large parts of the documentation available here have been contributed by Scribus users. However, as of December 2010, the Scribus wiki also hosts “official” documents provided by the Scribus Team. Not surprisingly, these are labelled “Official”. The content of the Scribus Help Browser, another set of “official” documents, is also available on the wiki.
Libre Graphics Meeting 2014 – Please Help! The Libre Graphics Meeting is a conference where artists, users, developers, designers, contributors, ... who use, plan, develop, play with, tamper with, Free, Libre and Open Source Graphics applications, libraries, concepts, ... It is an unparalleled opportunity for them to meet, talk, discuss, listen, experience and learn about their favorite tools, the uses, the undiscovered potential, the new ideas that come with them. This year, Libre Graphics Meeting will happen at the University of Leipzig, April 2-5. The attendees arrive from all over the world - last year, people from 26 countries traveled to Madrid to attend. Maybe there will be even more this year? LGM could not take place without its sponsors, who help pay for the various costs associated with running such events. But LGM needs your help too, in the form of donations that help defray the travel costs for many of the developers and presenters to the meeting. Each year LGM runs a Pledgie campaign to raise those funds. This year there is an ambitious goal: $12,000. Please go there and contribute to make this awesome meeting possible, and thanks for your help.
